Difficulties in interconnecting applications
At present, the number of application systems in various organizations is growing explosively, from a few to dozens or hundreds. Data exchange between application systems has become more and more urgent, but also more and more complex and difficult. In order to realize interconnection between applications, the current implementation methods are mainly divided into the following categories:
① Database point-to-point direct connection (such as DB-LINK).
② Intermediate warehouse or table.
③ Customized interface development.
④ ESB enterprise service bus.
These methods are either simple to implement but difficult to match complex business processes, or the technology is too complex and invasive to the business, requiring significant changes on the application side, resulting in huge implementation costs.
Data center database construction is difficult
When there are only a few or ten databases within an organization, it is feasible to centralize and synchronize data across these databases using ETL or data lake technology. However, when the number of databases reaches dozens or even more, synchronizing data to a centralized database through ETL or data synchronization becomes extremely challenging. In such cases, if data is still synchronized or ETL is used to centralize data, the operational costs and synchronization failure rates will significantly increase, ultimately affecting the data quality of the centralized database and causing inconsistencies with the production database.
KShare Data sharing service platform
Currently, in fields such as healthcare, higher education, and finance, the number of application systems and databases can reach hundreds. To achieve interoperability between applications and central databases or ODS layers, organizations have invested substantial human and financial resources, but the results have not been satisfactory. In this context, the concept of Data Fabric has emerged naturally. Its core idea is to centrally and in real-time access production data from various business systems through a unified and real-time approach. This data management philosophy, which does not rely on data movement or synchronization, significantly simplifies the data management process, enhancing data accessibility, consistency, and security.
KShare Data sharing service platform, based on the concept of Data Fabric data weaving, aims to solve the thorny problem of data sharing between business systems in the current and future organizations, and to separate data sharing from various application systems and database systems, and become the infrastructure and core platform system of IT.
KShare The following core components are involved:
① Virtual data lake: Through the ODBC driver, multiple data sources are connected in realtime to form a virtual centralized database system. Users can perform complex cross database queries by associating tables from multiple production databases through a single SQL statement in the virtual data lake. Additionally, via the real-time access interface of the virtual data lake, users can directly generate a central database and ODS layer using SQL, significantly reducing the complexity of ETL processing.
② Definition of RESTful API interface based on SQL: Users can publish interfaces by filling in SQL or anonymous blocks to realize real-time data sharing and exchange between different application systems, avoid tedious interface development work, and point-to-point database direct connection mode. At the same time, it can also make up for the shortcomings of ESB enterprise service bus that is not real-time.
③ Dynamic desensitization: Based on the virtual data lake, KShare provides real-time dynamic masking for third-party applications and RESTful API services to mitigate data leakage risks.
